KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
by Christie McKittrick
Back in the April edition of The Tidings I posed a question to you as congregation members. I asked "What exactly does BAPC do for mission?" And each month since then, I have provided information to you about who BAPC serves as part of mission. The Tidings articles were as follows:
Local: Bethany House Services
International: Dawn Johnson Ministries
Local: Matthew 25: Ministries
International: Frances Newton Hospital
International: Samaritan’s Purse
Local: N.E.E.D.S. (North East Emergency Distribution Services)
Local: Hospice
I wanted to provide you with this information, because I felt that the more knowledgeable you were about our own mission ministry items here at BAPC, the more we could achieve for mission as a congregation. Having the knowledge presented to you is just the first step, though. What we do with that knowledge is the big leap. Knowledge is power. As I wrap up my final Tidings article for 2004, I leave you with one question. "If knowledge is power… what are your strengths?"
