About Hospital Albert Schweitzer:

Hospital Albert Schweitzer (HAS) was founded in 1956 in Deschapelles, Haiti. It is an integrated rural health and development program serving 225,000 residents within a 610-mile square district of the Artibonite Valley region of central Haiti. The Community Health and Community Development departments were created to extend the work of the hospital. Immunization, health monitoring, midwife education, a district census, training programs, irrigation and potable water through pipelines and wells, veterinary services, and agro-forestry continue to be examples of HAS’s outreach.

BAPC Involvement:

Dawn Johnson is a long-standing member and deacon at BAPC, and she now serves as a missionary at the Hospital Albert Schweitzer (HAS) in Haiti.

We recently sent a computer to replace a broken one, and we support this work financially.

Dawn is planning on being in the Blue Ash area in either July or August this summer. Please take a moment to say hello to her, and to ask her any questions that you may have about her mission work.

How to Volunteer:

Either contact Dawn Johnson at dawnjohnson@mi.canzion.com or contact Peggy McShane or Christie McKittrick with the Mission Committee at BAPC.

Help financially. Your financial assistance will help them immunize children against deadly diseases, dig more wells, and care for an endless stream of sick people.
