About the Organization:

N.E.E.D.S. is a food pantry and emergency help distribution service located at the Kenwood Baptist Church.

BAPC Involvement:

Mary Sue Dickmann and other congregation members established N.E.E.D.S. to combine

efforts of churches, synagogues, and social service groups to provide emergency food and funds for those in need in our area.

Each month our church gathers one particular item from congregation members for the

N.E.E.D.S. pantry.

During the Christmas season mittens, caps, gloves and socks are hung on a Mission Tree on one Sunday, as part of a special worship service. The items are then distributed to urban churches, Hazelwood, and N.E.E.D.S. BAPC has also contributed food, clothing, volunteers, school kits, and holiday baskets.

N.E.E.D.S. is provided financial support by individual congregation members, as well as by the church.

Individual congregation members worked (and still work) many hours running and stocking the pantry.
